Not true, too simplistic
The training felt confused between the skill of making persuasive arguments, and self-critical thinking in search of truth. One thing it got muddled is that evidence does not need to be in any way true, it just needs to be believed or convincing to the other opposition. This is an important distinction as this is where a lot of skill in arguing comes – in tailoring your argument to the audience's own beliefs to bring them from theirs to yours. The truth does not always matter in convincing people of certain ideas (as we all know), and is something we should be acutely aware of. It felt far too simplistic to say evidence should be true when we all know how subjective and nuanced the truth can be.
Some good points
There were some good points but would be better with ways to put them into practice on a regular basis if you do not normally think this way.

Good practical advice
Makes you think logically for preparing a constructive argument, such as requesting a pay rise or some other work issue you wish to challenge.
Common sense but very well presented
The speaker was clear, the content well structured and generally it was very slick, but i felt the subject matter was pretty basic and a lot of it was common sense
Challenge your preconceptions.
This was a good, clear module with a clear message about how much our own preconceptions and beliefs can influence our opinions and that we must challenge ourselves about them. I enjoyed it. Not sure I learnt all that much but then I am quite ancient and have come across all sorts of training like this. But it would be useful to people starting out in the career.
