It didn't feel like training!

The Working at Height training course was streets ahead of other online courses i have completed. Each module was relevant the correct length for learning and delivered very effectively. The presentation (graphics, animations, video, voice-over) was highly professional compared to other training materials I have used, plus the recaps at the end of each module emphasized the points made further.

Course was clear and well presented.

In some respects the advice goes against our internal risk mitigation procedures and I think good working practices. For example:- it says if working at height display warning signs at ground level. Our procedures are to create exclusion zones and display warning signs to prevent people working underneath the work site. Also the people at risk from working at height may be other people also working at height, and so the warning signs at ground level would be inadequate mitigation of the risk. The video for the electrician working at height talks about using a tool belt to carry tools to the work site to keep hands free, but then goes on to show tools clearly in a tool belt without safety lanyards. The message isn't wrong, but the message could be improved as a lump hammer without a lanyard could easily be dislodged fall whilst climbing and become a dropped object.

Important, useful, vital

This course was vital and useful and something everybody has to know because coming from someone who isn't very comfortable with heights I really had to concentrate and it really refreshed my memory.Nothing wrong with this course.
