The course appears to be aimed at people who will use access equipment to work at height but the language, speed of delivery and course content is more appropriate for people who need an awareness of work at height but have no direct involvement in planning the work. For operators working at height, this course gives the impression that the employer will know what they are doing and will provide safe equipment / work areas automatically. What would be useful is a few tips on what questions to ask so that the employee can make a balanced judgement about the competence of the employer's agent when it comes to planning work at height. Describing the 3 basic principles of the work at height regs would also be useful i.e. Avoid (and give examples of long reach systems); Prevent falls (and describe how this can be done e.g. handrails / fall restraint); Reduce the likelihood of injury if a fall cannot be prevented (i.e. crash mats / covering protruding hazards).
