Extremely Good Information Which Enables The User To Have A Better Understanding Of Working At Height

5/5
incorrect inaccurate information & graph

Incorrect information Subject dumbed down to where it was almost dangerous Note Crash Bags and Nets are not Protective Equipment They do not prevent falls but limit distance and consequence The Hierarchy of Working at Height requires (1) Avoidance, (2) Prevention of Falls By use of collective measures over individual measures, (3) Limitation of Distance and Consequence of a Fall. For Crash mat or net to do its job a fall has to occur likewise a harness (contrary to the implication in the program a harness never prevented a fall) Although Work Restraint equipment can but only when properly anchored adjusted and worn The very first question end section one "Employees are responsible for making sure that all protective equipment is suitable and sufficient and that it has been inspected by a Competent Person (CP). But according to the program this is not the case, Yet the explanation of the answer states that the employer is responsible for making sure that PPE is suitable and sufficient and has been thoroughly inspected by a CP. The employee is responsible to report back to the manager of H&S officer(?) if they notice ant damaged PPE or they believe it is not sufficient. So (a) how would they notice if they did not inspect and (b) is the question about equipment of PPE (Two distinct and different things. If there is no record of a CP inspection should a worker use a Fall Arrest or other harness etcAlso note the information provide at slides 12 & 19. I will not be recommending the course to personnel on my sites
