A thought-provoking course

This course raises some very interesting issues and presents scenarios that allow for self-reflection. Good use of examples to highlight the issues. Very enjoyable and thought-provoking course!

Some aspects could be better

In the section discussing body language, i know the point was the unconscious bias, but a lot of the body language like eye contact touched on disability ( for example autistic) and i just think that this should have been addressed

2/5
Very well articulated

Good use of visual versus explanation.

Assumptions

Just one comment-the speaker made an assumption early in the presentation that we needed to challenge what we assume is 'normal, right and good'? Many of us have attitudes that don't need to be challenged, e.g., not everyone is racist, etc., so this was a bit biased in itself?

Needs to be updated

More people in today's very diverse society, are aware of a lot of the issues raised. The course content may need to be a bit subtler if we are to learn anything new. The answers to the test questions are a bit too obvious/easy and I feel it needs to challenge your thinking a bit more, but this could be just me.

Pacey, relevant and thought provoking

Well presented, inspiring course to question our unconscious bias. Lots of acronyms and names fro different bias that I was unaware of. As a teacher you imagine that you challenge your bias' already- we live and work in a very diverse world. However, as a leader who is very busy and always trying to be well ahead of the ball game, we often protect ourselves unconsciously as we steam ahead. Certainly made me question my actions and behaviours - I know my facial expressions can be my 'tell' Thank you
