Questions

I didn't like the way the questions were asked, worded made it hard to follow.

Over-simplifies a complex problem

The course uses the example of a tattoo on a few occasions, but this is not akin to issues that are more commonly affected by bias, such as class, gender, sexuality and race. Tattos are in some occasions of cultural significance, but are more often a choice which can be hidden or removed ( unlike gender, sexuality and race). The course also tends to explore negative unconcious bias, but in many institutions the main issue is positive bias towards those who conform to the expected 'norms' within that institution. It is the positive bias which acts as more of a bar to institutional change as it underpins nepotism and favouring those who confirm the status quo.
