Good

Thought it was good to offer a different perspective.

Definitely an education

No irony intended... I was mostly unaware of how unconscious bias worked, but of course instantly recognised my own behaviours immediately when presented with them. This course is extremely relevant and important.

Great course of information

This course was good to take part in and to receive education on our brain how it works and I will now stop and think about my opinions of people

I'd prefer in person training

In att least three of the slides the text was covered with the subtitles which is not great for accessibility.

3/5
Informative, understandable, interesting

A well-designed and presented course on approaches to recognise and think through actions and strategies for countering unconscious bias. Some difficulties with the audio inhibited some mini-videos.

The course: well organised.

I have a clearer understanding of what Unconscious bias is, how it develops and how it can impact cognitive ability. I now recognise some of my own hidden preferences, assumptions and biases and I will do my utmost to avoid them. I know how to think more critically and consciously when making decisions, and I am more aware of the dangers of prejudice and stereotyping other people. I have an action plan for how to implement my learning so that it is sustainable and transferable. The course was also well presented and informative. My tutor was professional, gentle. friendly and quite assertive.

A new learning experience for me

I thoroughly enjoyed this course. New learning for me and definitely something to reflect on. I will be working on my action during the next few months at EIF. Thankyou.

A good overview of the issues

Would benefit from more information about the consequences of bias in the work place. This session would be good as a precursor to a training session that involved discussion.
