A useful training programme with good examples to help contextualize how safeguarding works in practice.

Relies on some familiarity of the subject matter in advance. Not a fan of videos (who watches them in an office environment?), so relied entirely on the transcripts. A different format could therefore be used.

An excellent Training and easy to follow

The programme was efficient and effective. It covered all the points raised in the one day refresher training.

Clear, easy to understand bite size sections. Useful summaries after each video clip.

I teach Health and Social Care which, at Level 3 has a unit containing Safeguarding, so it was very interesting to compare this course to the teaching materials that we use in school. The content was very graphic and presented in a very non-nonsense style that enabled a very sensitive subject to be approached in a calm and matter-of-fact way. The transcript was useful as I was able to follow the course without sound. The only reason that I did not give this a 5 star rating was because one or two of the procedures were not exactly as would work perfectly in our school setting; for instance, we would not be likely to call the Police before informing our Designated Safeguarding Person (or Designated Safeguarding Lead) as he is now known, or our Head Teacher. But, a very good well written course. Thank you.

I prefer a training session with a real person that can involve discussion with other people. You have to make a real effort to sit down and concentrate. I started to switch off and would prefer an environment with interaction with real people and a chance for discussion.

An essential course which all should complete as par of their L&D regardless of nature of their work.

The Safeguarding Children Training was easy to access, The content refreshed and supported the Child Protectioon training I have previously received.Would reccomend to colleagues as a valuable refresher.
