Good informative course

Good informative course. Set at good level for me as a health professional in paediatrics who has knowledge of the issues discussed but maybe a little too high a level for people who do not work with children.

Very useful refresher course

The information provided was spoken with graphics highlighting the key points, I found this helped me to note and retain the information. I also found the additional resources interesting. The training was provided at a good pace. Thank you.

High quality on-line learning

I found this course to be very good. The short, concise modules were informative and helped to break down the detail of the course into manageable chunks. I feel better equipped now to fulfil my responsibilities and duty, as a person working with children, in order to help to keep every child safe.

A bit excessive

The graphics were a distraction rather than an aid and a little childish. The content is likely to worry some of our younger helpers unnecessarily. Also it was misleading in that (a) the text seemed to encourage the volunteer to ask further questions rather than to report the disclosure to the trained DSL; (b) although the text said that one should not ask leading questions, the 'correct' answer to one of the multiple-choice questions did not rule that out. It was a lot of information given in a way that is not always helpful to learning in that it was hardly broken up with questions etc they only featured now and then - it seemed more a question of being talked at. F too much to take in and remember in a meaningful way. Would have been better to have a shorter more succinct presentation on what we, as helpers, need to look at for and then do - appreciate this is a generic presentation so this may not have been possible.

Comprehensive, yet easy to understand

A very comprehensive description of safeguarding responsibilities and the warning signs to look out for. I feel that my knowledge has greatly improved, and I should trust my instincts & be confident in reporting where I feel the need.
