This taught me a great deal about this subject.

The training is effective. I remember far more from this than other training on safeguarding. Clearly the presentation of the material suited my learning style - very visual - and the pace was good for me. I was able to access the training in bite size chunks so completed over a day around other commitments and the flexibility helped me complete the training more rapidly than I might otherwise have done.
This course provided very comprehensive detail about safeguarding. I feel it will be valuable knowledge not only in my volunteering work, but in my personal and professional life. Having an increased level of awareness about safeguarding could be of benefit to the communities we live and work in, as long as those of us who undertake training fully understand the responsibility that comes with it. The reason I have not given the course five stars is: 1. It actually takes a lot longer to work through the content than the actual recordings if you wish to take notes - there's a lot of information to absorb! 2. If you go back to an area the course previously completed, it won't let you return to where you left off, so you need to go through all the sections again.

A child's well-being can be affected by physical conditions or disabilities and mental ill-health or mental illnesses.
