Overall a good course

Good course, that has been updated to include areas such as faith abuse and breast ironing. The only comments I would make is that for some reason slide 7 doesn't play fully and some of the darker slides are a little difficult to see.

4/5
Focused on England and Wales

The sections on recognising and responding were was really good. However, for learners in Scotland the legislation and emphasis on DSL (and LSCBs) were not suitable and there were references to the Children's Act which also don't apply, so the reporting in particular, whilst making the point that agency policy should be followed, placed emphasis on a role that doesn't exist.

3/5
Thought provoking and insightful

I enjoyed taking part in this course. There are so many areas to watch out for in trying to keep children safe.

5/5
Good but alot of out of date info

Content good, but a lot of out of date information. Found the presentation very difficult to hear even with speakers on maximum and video to lip read - this has been the case with all the courses I have untertaken

Nice to have both visual and auditory

Clear, succinct, good mixture of visual/auditory

5/5
Good

Excellent course but too long as a refresher and for those on the peripherals of safeguarding. More suited to individuals directly interacting with children and young people on a regular basis.
