This course is very informative , but the information is easy to understand

A well-paced systematic approach to Safeguarding.

I'm glad to have learnt about a variety of child abuse that I was not aware of. In general too much mixed and unclear information being given about reporting/recording - does not always tally with the practices I have been 'taught' to use in my school. Seems to be trying to suit every institution across the UK. Glad to see some positive comments from the NSPCC.

The way the course was laid out in sections made it clear to follow. The information shared in each section was interesting and made sense. The course reassured you that responding to any concerns by discussing them with an appropriate DSL member of staff would always be the correct action regardless as to whether any further action needed to be taken.

The video on slide 8 didn't play so I ended up having to read the transcript but it took me a while to work out how to move onto the next slide.

Found it very easy to complete even for someone like myself who is not very good at using technology.

I am rather frustrated with the Test part of the course. I was expecting full marks but the answers that were expected from two of the questions were 'ambiguous' in that situation it is very unfair to expect a definite answer. I always make it a rule of thumb to approach the DSL to discuss any issue of any concern and this was 'wrong'?! Ambiguous questions are otherwise known as 'trick' questions, making it rather unfair to the candidates sitting the Test. Apart from that, the course was very complete and easy to understand.

Good clear speech delivery and good quality graphics (there's room for a few more) which add interest sufficiently to the learning experience. Personally, I learn fairly well from words therefore the transcript is sufficient for me in some respects and having to wait until it is all read is sometimes a distraction for me - but I appreciate it is a necessary part of more thorough learning for others.

Very comprehensive course. I have learnt so much from this training which I was completely unaware of.

Well presented. Clear, concise and up-to-date. Good links to extra learning. Positive. Good that it reminds you that your well-being should be considered, and is important.
