It encourages bad practice

The course refers to "disclosures" (which should be termed 'allegations') and encourages that children should be encouraged to talk freely and for as long as they wish about allegations to untrained people. It encourages untrained people to ask questions of children making allegations, which undermines any subsequent ABE interview (Achieving Best Evidence) that may be conducted by either police or social workers. And that undermines any potential future safeguarding action in relation to the child, or prosecution of any alleged perpetrator.

An excellent course which covered a grou

This was far more comprehensive than other courses I have completed while working in a junior school. I appreciate being able to see the transcripts. The test was not only on the parts that had been highlighted, so that was a bit of a surprise as I had taken copious notes on these.
