This course helps me understand well abuse, the sources and the impact - and how one should react in the front line. However, I am a school governor. I have almost zero contact with children but I do have a range of responsibilties as a governor which are beyond the scope of this course. I suggest you need to design another course which demonstrates and tests best practice at board level.
This is a valuable course to complete and will open doors for future career developments.

I have taken a number of safeguarding courses, online and in person, arranged by different organisations, and this is the most comprehensive and useful by far, even though it took a lot longer than the suggested hour. Even the test questions covered most important and memorable points. The only disappointment was that the certificate uses only my first name and surname; I have always been known by my middle name!
