It was good if I did work with children all the time but as a school cleaner and children will not be in school at the same time think it was pointless for me.
It was very detailed and gave very specific details into the many types of abuse there is, and some I did not know about, and what to do and how to report it, if you do recognise if there is a problem.
I have learnt a lot
The module had all the required information, using easy to understand language, bullet-points and video clips to help deliver the training.
The subject matter in this course is always going to be difficult to come to terms with. You have introduced these subjects with great care which has the areas covered more palatable. I feel I have gained a lot from this course.
Very clear information and thorough overview
No summary provided
Plenty of information and additional printable handouts available. In a lot of the sections the sound was barely audible on full volume which meant having to replay the section which was really annoying and the next section then blasted out. Although I found it really useful as I also work with children I found the content to be irrelevant in line with the position of cleaner.
It could be broken down into two or more parts. Especially for people who while working in an environment that does concern this, don't actually work directly with children i.e. Technicians and grounds people. It is a lot to take in if this doesn't directly involve them and could be broken into two or three parts.
Learnt some new things that I hadn't heard about such as breast ironing
