How many of the leaders need such an intense and harrowing training? The depth and detail of each named abuse seems unnecessary for most leaders. The safeguarding officer needs that detail but is it needed for cookhouse staff?
This was a new experience for me, not having worked in a school before. Considering the unpleasant nature of the subject I thought it very well presented. The actors were clear and concise and the graphics clear and entertaining. I was a little disappointed with my 80%, so looking forward to doing the next. Echos from the '60's, "must try harder"!
It has been updated since I did it last so I found it helpful to keep up with changing threats that children may come into contact with. It was quite thorough but simple to understand.

A Lot to learn but it is needed for a good result
I found the training excellent and will strive to implement all of it in my job as a support worker.
its always good to keep up to date. I learned new things in this course despite having regular training in the past. course was well paced and broken up into convenient sections so as not to be overly heavy or too intense. also a difference with male and female presenters for different sections helped to minimise the monotony which could be induced on a course like this.
Excellent course covering a very wide range of challenges with clarity. Excellent accompanying materials throughout.
