An excellent, clearly presented course.

This is a comprehensive and very helpful course addressing safeguarding children. It clearly explains warning signs and how to respond appropriately to any concerns there may be about the safety and well-being of a child. The presentation was excellent, supported by easy access to relevant documents and links, which provided further useful information on topics covered.

Liked the pace of the course

Really informative and didn't find myself drifting off ,being asked questions at different points made me really concentrate on what was being said. The summaries at the end of each section were helpful as were the separate links.

terminology not current

Having worked in Child Protection and a MASH for 5 years it surprises me that the course doesnt make any references to S47 Childrens Act 1989 `at risk of significant harm` as this is the threshold that determines risk to children and the legislation that always covers safeguarding in practice. You have covered the Human Rights Act but in my experience S17 and S47 are the common pieces of legislation that all partners need to be aware of and do currently use in practice. The course was well structured apart from this vital missing chunk in my opinion.
