Clear, succinct, helpful

Gave me a broader understandinf of the different types of abuse, the specific process to follow if I have a concern and increased confidence to report something if 'my gut tells me there maybe something wrong'.

Good but long

The course was informative but very long. It's difficult to stay engaged toward the end and some in-person delivery would have been good.

Stark and disturbing

So whether or not you were aware of the range of potential abuse, this unit is deeply disturbing and has been triggering for some of my colleagues who have felt unable to complete the training as it is set out and how it is expected to be completed. My suggestion would be that there needs to be another way of allowing people disturbed or triggered by this unit's content and presentation to complete this unit to achieve compliance or attain the certificate. Also, I'm not sure that to present some aspects of abuse in a video game format is appropriate.

This course is awesome

The Safeguarding Children training course has broadened and enlightened my knowledge of Keeping Children Safe in Education. I took this course expecting to get the most out of it and I got more than that. I got to learn that, even if you come into brief contact with a child or their family you have a duty to safeguard. And Safeguarding needs to have a child-centred approach with the well-being of the child at the heart of every action you take and every decision you make. A good motto to go by is: right service, right child, right time.
