Comprehensive

A pretty good course, although the lines blur a bit between types of child abuse; I can't really think why there need to categories of abuse – safeguarding is safeguarding and abuse is abuse. If you separate them for purposes of spotting them, then fair enough, but I'm not sure you should put questions in about which type this or that is. I did get 100%, so I guess explanations were clear.

Clear and concise explanations of Safeguarding procedures

Good presentation of all aspects of safeguarding.

Very thorough but concise.

Having been in youth and children's work for over 30 years, I have taken many such courses in child safeguarding. This course was very good, and I highly recommend it. It was very thorough but concise, and was free of unnecessary jargon, whilst being supplemented by additional useful links and documents.

Suprising and Interesting

As the mother of a 33 year old son who was quite badly bullied at two schools, neither of which would accept that the bullying was taking place, in spite of one child at senior school trying to set light to his clothes, I found the lengths taken to protect children these days interesting. Some aspects also suprised me like the number of children being abducted. I just wish my son's schools had had to abide by such laws and guidelines.
