I found this course interesting, informative eye opener, well worth it.

Definitely elements that are good learning points but I would say 50% not relevant to the staff we want to receive safekeeping training at. Also during training it many times refers to own company policy and procedure and to contact the "Safeguarding Lead/Officer" to report any concern or abuse. We therefore need to have that policy and know who in the business is that named person, do we have such a document and named individual? If yes can you send me this please if not whom has that action point and when will this be actioned?

Subject was new to me so was very informative and clearly presented. I was surprised to also find it so interesting and relevant to life and relationships in general, as well as the specifics of a volunteering role. The sense of ‘everyone is responsible for safeguarding’ came across loud and clear. Having previously held Power of Attorney for my mother because of dementia and my dealings with her care home, it had particular resonance for me.

Good enough , always can do more

I felt that although the course contained a huge amount of information, probably only around 50-60% was relative to me as a volunteer. I appreciate this is a very important topic but it did take a longvtime to complete and the content was very heavy at times.

Well structured logical course running through all the issues, structures and processes, reminding and thought provoking for the improvement of all safeguarding issues for adults.

This video is laid out well, informative, interesting and has lots of tips of what to look out for and how to report findings.
