The course is on point!

If VA are expecting volunteers to complete both the Adults (duration 52mins) and Children’s (duration 60mins) Safeguarding courses, then personally I think this is too much when you consider the type of volunteering roles VA offers (even for those being Lead volunteers). I totally understand and agree that all volunteers should have safeguarding training, but that training (its duration and content) should be appropriate to the volunteering role and the level to which safeguarding training is needed.I’d also like to see a system in place that allows for volunteers to provide evidence/proof they have recently attended safeguarding training that meets our requirements (e.g. The All Wales Safeguarding courses) that would then negate the need for them to complete this training until a point in time that refresher training was required.

I found the training well presented and delivered with clear instructions and helpful summaries to recap the session.

very informative, just right

A very useful course and stresses that safeguarding is the responsibility of us all. Easy to follow and complete. It did leave me feeling however that a training course with volunteers in mind would be more helpful. Very care professional focussed, but, as I say, it gets across the principles. I do feel better prepared.

I found the course informative, sections well divided and detailed, it was helpful when you could return to a subject or video you weren't sure of prior to the test.

I did learn more things, and more aware of things happening around me, and how to deal or approach things that is not right.

I found it very interesting alot to take in I had to dig deep to absorb all the information and do the test so thank you .
