For my particular needs the content was rather OTT in my opinion. Seemed more targeted to a Social Worker, whereas I am a volunteer working with a charity. I regularly see/speak to adults through the charity work that I offer but have to say this course was too much. Also, as I had not completed anything like this in over 5 years (retired) it took me four sessions and 3hrs 45mins to properly give this subject area the time it needed and I was worried I might not get answers right so made notes as I went along. Excellently done though I might add.

The course was good but perhaps over and above the work I have done as a volunteer for VA in Northern Ireland. I think the question I got wrong was about organisational structures in GB which have no relevance in Northern Ireland. However, that said, the training was very comprehensive and useful for working with adults. Many thanks.
I thought this was an enjoyable and very informative course. I have learned a lot and taken away from it more than I thought I knew.
A very good and thought provoking course. A lot of signposting to relevant legislation, good practice and guidance. Up to date with the attention to modern slavery and radicalisation sections.

I am a retired nurse education consultant and this was a topic that I taught on many occasions. I could not fault this presentation. Well done.
The course was aimed at carers. My volunteering does not involve caring, merely helping in a charity shop's stockroom. However, it did mention a few points re abuse of which I was unaware but it was largely irrelevant to my volunteer role.
The course took much longer than the 52 mins advised and this messed up the time I had allocated to it.
