Misrepresentation of the History Slavery

I feel this did not fully demonstrate or show appreciation for the history of slavery more specifically the transatlantic slave trade, one of the most tragic events of MODERN history. This course seeks to inform people about modern slavery and it's effects on society which of course is tragic and is an ideology that nobody should be subjected to. However, the effects of the transatlantic slave trade have had far greater ramification's in all areas of today's society (specifically for the BAME community) than what is being pointed out in this training module. I feel that this training module does not give justice to all areas of Modern slavery and has glanced over a very crucial part MODERN history which affects today's society especially in the workplace! I believe Maya Angelou best said it that "I have great respect for the past. If you don't know where you've come from, you don't know where you're going. I have respect for the past, but I'm a person of the moment. I'm here, and I do my best to be completely centred at the place I'm at, then I go forward to the next place". To be clear I am of African decent and the particular subcategory of 'transatlantic slave trade' and it's effects on modern society is a very important lesson to be taught under the category of Modern Slavery and a lesson that should be taught across all races.
