Really good - very informative

Really enjoyed this course - visual and clear - makes you realise about how you think and feel and why - enjoyed it would definitely recommend this course to everyone. Everyone has mental health and this would help alot of people to understand if properly. Thank you

Very basic and common sense, misleading

The course only covered very basic information, which is largely common knowledge. The presentation in many short sections interrupted the flow of the course and was not particularly helpful. There were sections, especially those on thoughts, which seemed contradictory and were over simplified, running the risk of potentially making anyone struggling with mental health issues feel that they should be able to manage and change their thoughts much more easily. This could potentially have a very detrimental effect and encourage the idea that people struggling with negative thoughts aren't doing enough to manage them - the reality is far more complex than this. In addition, more information about recognising signs of mental health issues in others would have been useful. I feel that this course needs to be reviewed in order to prevent this information being misunderstood.

Very basic, common sense, dangerous.

The training was just very basic common sense, which at times even contradicted itself. I feel strongly that a focus on identifying mental health issues and then emphasising the importance of seeking help would have been more appropriate than saying this and then giving ideas for how to cope on your own, or telling potentially vulnerable people that they should be able to change their thinking and feel fine again. This is a very dangerous approach to take and has an an air of 'pull yourself together and you'll be fine' which is the opposite of what people should be told. I recommend that the training should be reviewed and rewritten before more potentially vulnerable people are put at risk from the messages included.
