I will certainly be using all the information this course has provided in my work and home life.
As a registered charity founder (unpaid) in mental healthcare, I feel reasonably well-placed to comment. The efficacy of CBT is questionable with at least one longitudinal study revealing that over 50% of people undergoing sessions relapsed within a year, over 70% of whom relapsed within six months. Consequently, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) is on the increase as an alternative approach (NHS PWP). However, I found the rest of the course really thought-through, heartening that it is part of my organisation's training.
