Much of this is actually based on the stoic philosophy of the ancient Greeks and Romans. Indeed, CBT is directly based on it. To date, two people in the organisation have chatted to me about this and I have suggested that they look at the original philosophy as more 'meat on the bone' and a deeper appreciation of well being and agency. There are plenty gentle introductions and I have recommended to them 'The Daily Stoic'. Both have picked it up cheaply on Amazon. Nice little golden nugget each day on a half a page with the original thought and its modern day meaning.
The course has opened my eyes to mental health. and I need to keep vigilant to my own well being.
Very good to learn about problems people and oneself can have with mental health issues.
Useful and good
Simple straight forward and interesting course.
This covered an area that I don't think about very often. Everyone gets low from time to time, but not everyone can pick themselves up. I have a friend who battles with anxiety and depression and I don't know what to say or do to help, apart from just be available.
Learnt more about this subject.
A very clear and well set up course, which highlights the importance of Mental Health Awareness
