This is too long. It is unreasonable to expect an hour of attention and then for participants to achieve 100% pass rate. That doesn't feel necessary.
This short course helped understand the need for good mental health, not just in me but in my teams and colleagues. I feel as Managers we should all reflect on this learning and make it part of our daily routines.
The course was set at a reasonable pace and had a good mixture of learning materials/useful downloads (that I've printed off for my tool kit)!
Good level of information on a wide ranging topic, found the presenters and content clear and easy to take in. The video clips where short but precise with some good follow up contents and additional available information to do further reading if required. Good course would recommend to anyone in a management position
I am finding the Mental Health Awareness for Management learning a bad experience. It is very long patronizing lecture and full of instructions - full of just do this , just do that, all you need to do, "you need only do 30 minutes exercise every day"...achieve goals by writing a to-do list.... Many completely unrealistic without significant support. The management part was tacked on the end and literally could be summarised in about 3 bullet points. The training gave me no more tools than I already had. It also offered no simple or complex worked examples where the decision making for supporting mental health for managers is complex.
The course was very good. It was useful to have definitions of the various illnesses and types of treatment. I liked the simpler tips like breath, take a walk, write a task list, create a WAP and talk to your team regularly. I liked the guide created as a pdf to refer back to at any point in the future. I took the time to email my team and tell them I thought the course was good and think that you are preparing a similar course for them shortly. I sent them the guide in the mean time. Thank you.
It structures the mental health issues very well and it helps to put names to problems that we see in the people in our team. The emphasis on communication is one of the important learning of this course.
Quite informative but took an hour of my work day which I don't really have spare.
Speakers were both good; clear and concise. Material was relevant to what we need and made it easy to think about real life examples.
