Excellent, delivers all the information, clearly and succinctly. It is quick and effective training programme that allows staff to keep up to date and well informed without taking time away from the business.

good information within the programme, i felt i learnt from the useful tips and the facts too; however it is long winded and the voices used are dull, don't really inspire you to listen to what they're saying. the test at the end, summed it up well and brought out the useful tips previously showed.

Felt repetitive though precise and thoro

Not being computer literate I foung the navigating, though much better than some programmes I've used not totally idiot proof. I was finding the correct way of doing things not as direct or as fast as I would have liked.

This is a fantastic course.

Very useful course. I think everyone should be requested to complete this course as there are so many people who are keep lifting heavy items at work/home without knowing what is the correct way of handling heavy items without the training. I sustained my spinal injury in October 2010 prior to completing this course because I was lifting heavy boxes with toys, sandtrays, tables, etc. without realising that I was lifting everything incorrectly. I strongly believe that if I had completed Manual handling in the workplace course before my injury I would have been able to prevent my injury from happening. Thank you once again for a very useful and excellent course. I am recommending it to all of my colleagues. I also think this course will be very benefitial for the children at school (they tend to lift each other trying to show their "strength" to eath other without realising how dangerous it is to their backs). Having completed your course, my colleague and I prepared our own "manual handling" activity for children to demonstrate to them the correct and incorrect way of lifting items and we also made an edible skeleton with the children to learn about the structure of our spine, spinal disk (tea cake was representing out spinal disk) and shorbreads were the vertebras. Our "edible skeleton" pretented to lift various items and children cook see the impact of any weight on the spinal disk on those models.

Made it quick and easy- not boring

I found the information on the spine interesting as it made the rest make more sense- I've been told how to do everything in the past but not shown the effect it has on the spine. Maybe I just couldn't find them but subtitiles would have been useful- in a open plan office I had to have the volume reasonably low so if the noise around me increased I tended to miss a few words every now and again so having it in subtitles aswell would have been beneficial.

A little boring, not enough interaction

the information given was clear and easy to understand however there were some elements that were too long in terms of verbal delivery and could have benefitted from more computer interaction

3/5
A boring subject but well delivered

A hard subject to make interesting. I think this programme was as interesting as it could be. It will make me stop and think before lifting anything so it had the desired effect

4/5
Obvious

Delivered as if the audience were between the ages of 5 and 10. Needs adjusting to suit and less condescending

I found the Training for MANUAL HANDLING IN THE WORK PLACE very informative. I feel the course was explained in an interesting format. The fact that it was not just guidance within the work place but also in your everyday living was especially useful. It clearly helps you to stop and think about lifting objects within your work place and in any enviroment. The clear steps I think will remain with me and hopefully always enable me to stop and think before lifting any object. The medical advice was good and helped me to realise the damage over the years that can be done through not lifting correctly and not positioning our body correctly while doing so. I finish by saying I give this course I high mark for its clear message..
