I found the videos were often frustratingly slow to load. Many of the early videos of people talking about back injuries I found unnecessary; I did not feel that they added anything to my understanding of manual handling. I believe that the session could have been shorter and quicker to complete, with no detriment to my learning, had extraneous information not been included.
By coincidence I had a lot of lifting to do the following day, and certainly changed my technique after seeing this DVD. The only real negative, was not knowing which videos were introductionary and frankily, could be skipped as they didn't contain real information.
easy to lose interest in this programme, could do with jazzing up a little to keep attention and create more interest, would be good to follow this up with a brief training session follow up to make sure all has been unnderstood and get the right way installed in your mind.
I think I have done this training so many times so it was just average
The training programme was very user friendly and easy to follow. It makes you think about how you lift and transport boxes etc.
The training was effective in providing me with an understanding of manual handling. The only negitive I found was that I found it difficult to keep up with the speed that the wrtiten material was delivered and as I was taking notes I found myself having to go back over some sections.
A correct manual handling in the workplace seems to be obvious but it is very good idea to remind these things time to time. The benefit of watching these videos rather then reading instructions only is that we will easily remember it and remind ourselves when manual handling next time.
An easy to understand, and not too heavy, training session on this important subject.
Taught me advice I did not previously know, and it was useful to learn about how the back works before learning about manual handling. Fairly easy questions in the test.
I picked up a few very useful tips from watching the video. So any thing that will help save my back must be good!
