Although a lot of it is common sense it does no harm to have it explained clearly and have a test to establish understanding
Given that it is not the most exciting of topics, the course was clear and engaging. I found the part at the start with the "case studies" was slightly longer than it needed to be but other than that it was really good.
I found the programme to be very informative and easy to follow
Initially sceptical, I found this to be a useful guide to the do's and don'ts of manual handling.
Clearly demonstrated and broken down into easy to remember stages. It was difficult though to remember the difference between a strain and a sprain so further emphasis could be applied here.
Difficult, isn't it? The video makes key points about time lost to manual handling injuries, particularly back-related, but it's really a big jump from that to creating a really gripping training programme that makes you want actively to ensure that it doesn't happen to you. This one doesn't quite do it for me. I like the style of it (graphics, etc.), but it does become very repetitive and some of the test questions are a bit desperate - do you really need 20 questions? wouldn't 10 be sufficient? Set against which, I would have to say that it does, by hammering away at basic points, reinforce overall (passive) awareness.
although online tests are venerable to cheating in a controlled environment this test is perfect.
The content of the training was excellent. It used plain english and explained everything well. The downside was that the program was a bit clunky and stalled from time to time. I agree with breaking it up into chunks but this was too much - it was irritating to have to keep clicking the button to move on. I think the sections could have been longer, particularly as you can go back as much as you like.
This is easy to understand but covers all of the important points.
Would have been to repeat answers until 100% are correct
