I was requested to complete this online course by the Dogs Trust, for which I am a casual volunteer. It was very straightforward and quick to do and as a means of increasing awareness and the importance of considering one's back in all day-to-day activities, I think it is quite effective. Its brevity means that it is a useful tool to reach a large number of people. However remote/theoretical training alone is insufficient for many occupations and this should not be a substitute for practical training where specific scenarios and manual handling techniques can be explored. Effective training must be two-way; particularly where it is necessary to break down stereotyping (men with the muscle-power) and where there may be resistance to using manual handling equipment. Overall, Good - providing it is not used simply to tick the H&S boxes.

Course was clear and easy to use
A good well set out course
Clear and simple instructions, not too wordy and not too much technical information. Made you think about how much damage you could do to yourself if your didn't use the correct lifting techniques.
Good to have an awareness on Manual Handling 😊
Very well presented, easy to remember.
