Explained all aspects of lifting and affects it would have on your back. Also not just in the workplace. Having pictures helped as could have been bit boring with just talking / writing. 😊
This course is a useful introduction for guidelines to lift items safely. I found the advice for lifting at different heights particularly helpful, and the lift by several persons and weights suggested in this case surprising. Perhaps a little too much anatomy at the start, although visuals on how spinal discs can be damaged was a very explanatory in how to understand over-straining problems. The course was much improved on the one attended several years ago in a classroom which included a demonstration by the tutor but also no practical exercises. I was disappointed that this follow up course for me was not a practical one. I would recommend it to other staff working in a library involved with medium to heavy lifting. It would be a good idea to have a follow up course include a practical session where the methods shown in the online course are put into practice to ensure that the course has been properly understood with all the different types of lifting included.

I like the fact you can work at your own pace - excellent training
Some quite interesting and useful information, even after years in the industry I was unaware of.
The course is easy to read and understand. However in the future you could add the term or word 'Musculoskeletal' disorder though we know that this is the cause of an injury damage or disorder in the upper or lower limb or back pain. It allows trainee to know that 'term' or word. Regards Emmanuel
Really good course to lean.
I found this Manual Handling course held my attention, it allowed me to go back to refresh things that I was not sure on. I did take the test more than once, but I think that reaffirmed the areas where I needed more guidance on. Overall it was very successful in making sure I know how to use manual handling techniques and I feel able to implement these on the future activities.
This course is straight forwards and easy to understand. I breaks each part into small sections that help you take in the information in bit sixed bits. the questions at the end are only 20 questions, so you aren't sat all day filling out an exam.
