Excellent course

The Lone Worker Safety Training is an excellent course for my safety when working alone anywhere. It gives me the opportunity of what to be aware of and the precautions to take when in danger. It also gives me the knowledge on how to safely interact with people as visitors, to be safe during walking, working, in a train, taxi, etc.

Course Materials OK

A good course but does not meet our needs. This focuses on remote workers visiting clients in their homes. It does not cover working alone in an office. The old IHASCO courses Lone Working IN the workplace and OUT of the workplace were better.

Good, informative and easy to follow

Well presented and offered good advice and enabled me to think about things that perhaps I may not have done in the past.

Interesting

Although there are lots of points that are common sense it was good to undertake this course to reiterate this.

enjoyable and informative

Initially I was unsure about on line training, was pleasantly surprised

Comprehensive

This was well delivered. Much more diversity in characters was welcome although might mention that disabled people work too and mention of health needs was a bit cursory. In order not to medicalise reasonable adjustments then perhaps this could be added to training in different way? Also at one point on bus, advice given re: mindfulness. This is a technique that has become a bit of a 'solve all'. For some people, those with anxiety problems etc. it can be counterproductive and harmful. It is not right for everyone and I dont think it should be promoted as part of lone worker training.
