The continued reference to footing the ladder is wrong. The HSE guidance states that this should only be done as a last resort as it is largely ineffective, can give operatives a false sense of security and adds the hazard of dropped objects on the person doing the footing
Informative and clear
I found a few areas a little confusing, especially when it came to answering the test questions and what had been covered. I went through the course again and made a number of notes.

FOUND THIS VERY USEFUL ALOT THAT I NEEDNT KNOW ABOUT
The course was easy to follow and well structured. There were no trick questions, everything was covered in the course material. A no fuss way of gaining an insight and a certificate.
The course was good and easy to follow but I did not see any advice about sliding multi-stage ladders back down, nor how to deal with ladders with more than two stages. I don't recall specific advice on how far it is safe to extend multi-stage ladders. By that I mean the minimum number of rungs that should overlap on an extended ladder.
