I found this course very useful as a refresher on Infection and Control Prevention. It was a good opportunity to remind myself of some of the areas of infection prevention and control that I had forgotten about, since my last training course was completed.
This was a useful course, taking about 45 minutes to complete. I learned about bacterial diseases, viruses, parasites, fungi, prions and zoonotic diseases; also the six links in the chain of infection, any one of which, if broken, can prevent the spread of disease. Also covered was good personal hygiene, use of PPE, storing food correctly, disposing of waste safely and keeping your environment clean.
