I believe you should be able to take the exam first and if required then go through the videos. Most employees have a good understanding of H&S and the videos are boring. They also miss things for example portable appliances should have a PAT sticker on them and if not do not use.
It is always very good to keep yourself up dated on Health and safety training it is a must.
