As a former data protection officer for a university library I found nothing new in this course. The introduction was rather long. The coursecould have focussed more on the 5 principles and an employees’ responsibilities, giving more examples of possible inadvertent breaches, e.g. leaving completed paper forms etc in public view or responding to seemingly casual enquiries about colleagues. It didn’t mention that colleagues’ data is also protected. The employer’s role in assuring that all staff understand the importance of GDPR cannot be over stated. The test was simple and straight forward.
