The course tells you your responsibilities....but we all have data held about use WE would like erased(or forgotten). The course teaches me I can do this. But how? My specific case would be in respect of a cold caller on the phone telling me I need to renew cover for domestic appliances. When you research the phone numbers, they are well known call centres trying their luck. How do I get the company to stop calling me?
It is very important to understand data protection, as misuse or carelessness can be detrimental. This course is a necessary refresher, to keep an updated understanding of data protection. The course is set out so that the information can be absorbed a piece at a time, supported by diagrams. It was very interesting, and an enjoyable part of learning.
