Excellent
I am a retired West Yorkshire Police Public Enquiries Officer and am trained in (amongst other things) fraud. This course was a good grounding for members of the public.
More relevant examples could be used
I think course could go into a bit more detail regarding fraud that we experience in the world today. Some of the slides are a bit basis and could be replaced by fraud that is a bit more relevant and therefore informative.
Useful and well presented course
A useful and well presented course that provided a thorough overview of fraud awareness and prevention.
Interesting and Engaging
The training was interesting in content and the video delivery with scenarios were engaging. The only feedback would be to provide more opportunities for interaction during the training – perhaps to reinforce learning at each stage.
Useful and worthwhile key messages – but some parts were difficult to follow
The presentation struggled in places to communicate concepts with the clarity that normally makes iHASCO course content straightforward and easy to take on board, and also helpfully memorable to use in practice and to build on with subsequent follow-up action. This may, in fairness, be due in part to the technical density of the subject of the course, which doesn't lend itself easily to visual illustration or description. That said, the key takeaways of the 'Incentive/Opportunity/Rationalise' triangle and the detection 'red flag' warnings came across well, as did the 5 organisational controls that reduce internal fraud risks. Useful and worthwhile overall.
