It is very innovating

Honestly it is a very good refresher course for me. the last time I had the fire warden course was during my SIA license training, back in 2019. Beside that, I also learnt new things about fire fighting.

Fine, repetitive

Massively overlapped with previous fire training and I had no way to skip sections I'd already covered.

3/5
Concise and to the point.

This course gives you all you need to know for a basic office situation to be an effective fire warden. It was clear about what to do and how to use fire fighting equipment if the fire is small. It makes it clear if the fire can't be put out with one extinguisher it needs to be left to the professionals. It also makes clear that you may have trouble getting your colleagues moving in an evacuation scenario.

See below

I found this course easier to take in the information provided due to it being video based.

For a refresher it is very tedious

If there is a course for a new starter or someone who has not covered this course previously, this would be good for them. For a peerson conducting a refresher it appears to be very long winded and goes on and on. When i saw there was 58 videos to trawl through, I had already lost interest.

Really good, clear, useful information

This course is very well put together and very clear and a great way to learn things and reinforce learning with the questions throughout the course. I found it quite repetitive though, as just before the fire Marshall training I had done the fire safety training course which covers the same areas. Is there a way to do a combined course so fire Marshall’s do the more in depth one only and other people do the general fire safety one? I was glad to do both as it helped reinforce learning. One small thing I found would be good to improve was when I had watched the video and read the information if you click to watch it again by accident (on a phone) or if you want to see just a small part of the video again, then you have to watch the whole video again, I understand that you have to watch it fully when you are training but it was annoying if I wanted to replay just a small part as I had to listen to the whole video again not sure how you get around that though unless there is smart technology that knows if you have watched it fully once you can then rewind and replay small sections. When it got to the exam and it said you could go back and redo any area of the course again I didn’t as I thought that would mean wherever you go back to start it would mean you have to watch all the videos again before doing the exam. This may not be the case but I knew I didn’t have time to do that as well so instead I looked at the additional resources before the exam.

Really good

I enjoyed this course as the short videos kept me engaged with the content throughout. The content was easy to understand and I liked the acting elements towards the end to demonstrate how the fire extinguishers work.
