Above average training

The fire warden training is ok but as usual it is hard to keep the viewer interested for a long time. The worse part is when the watch manager and his understudy are talking as they tend to put you to sleep. I would suggest replacing these with graphics to show bullet points for faster instruction. It does not compare to actual hands on fire warden training where you are made to feel part of a team learning a new skill as you do it as a group but it is not bad to get the basics across.

Very easy to understand,

I found the course really easy with clear instructions. Each paragraph, short and down to point, much nicer than seating in the class room 😊

Not bad, but not outstanding either

There were some very good bits, e.g. the videos of people's reactions and the clear explanation of different types of extinguishers. I thought the videos of the fire service training chap were a bit longer than necessary to convey the information. Personally I would have preferred more text and less speaking as I learn better by reading than listening. Some of the questions were ambiguous (e.g. the diagram which clearly showed heat radiated from a fire (labelled as such), conducted along metal pipes and then radiated to ignite a combustible material is supposed to NOT illustrate radiation - to me it shows radiation and conduction both contributing to the transfer of heat). Also convection does play a part in the spread of smoke (as illustrated by a mushroom cloud) and I would argue that convection is a more significant factor than expansion of hot gasses in the spread of smoke around a building.

Really educational experience - thank you! However, I think there should be a couple more questions at the end of each section, making it more interactive. Also, I found it very confusing re Classes of fire, perhaps a bit more emphasis on how to remember which is which, or just telling us which fire extinguisher was suitable for which type of fire and explaining why/why not as well. Thank you!

The real life examples help strengthened the knowledge and the mini testing examples are well done.

Very informative

Very well structured, easy to follow

I enjoyed the training as it has refreshed my understanding as a fire warden, I had to take notes as it was quite difficult to remember everything, had to re-take the test as I could not see all the options on my screen. But was very good and I do feel refrehed 😊 thanks
