This course is really good not only helps me to be more confident in my job but also I gained more knowledge.
What happened to the Fire Brigade "Get out, stay out and call us out". Re Fire Extinguishers ~ was just a chemistry lesson. I am not physically fit enough to use a fire extinguisher. I cannot be held responsible for staff stupidity. Management at Southport and Formby Community Services Division will be expecting low paid staff to provide details risk assessment. If a major incident occurs the low paid staff will be scape goats, because the management just will not take responsibility.
This course provided me with the right amount of information to learn about the laws and safety to support my role as an Adult Care Worker.
This was far too long and needs to be adapted to be relevant to to each workplace rather than covering all different workplaces and scenarios. In the end I wasn't taking in all the information given which is obviously very important.
