Fire training back in Canada was pretty much non existent after elementary school, so this may be old hat to those raised in the UK but I found it useful to learn the signage and rationale behind the signage. Also the only time I saw any further fire training in the past was when I took a summer job at a box factory and they actually lit fires out in the back and had us use fire extinguishers to extinguish them. The review of different types of extinguishing methods was worth wile as well as fire blankets are not in use where i am from.

Very long, a lot of information to take in and keep focused till the test at the end. Maybe it would be better split into 2 sessions rather than one if possible.

The training provided some useful tips. The demonstration of how to use each fire extinguisher was helpful as well. Overall, the training was good. It also helps that you can go at your own pace so if you are disrupted you can pick up where you left off.

One thing that is clear from this course is that if you need to use a fire extinguisher, call a man. In every example, a woman ('the teacher') explains the issues, and a man (the 'ihasco man') demonstrates the extinguishers. This sends a very poor signal. It is time to update your course. Women can use extinguishers--I have done so myself.
