Valuable knowledge delivered effectively

This online course was excellent. My attention was kept throughout with the bite size segments, with the occasional question thrown in to make sure I was paying attention. It was clearly delivered so that the information was memorable. This made the exam straight forward.

Highly dangerous advice

The advice to fight a fire if you think you can do so with one extinguisher (having completed this course and no other) is INCREDIBLY dangerous! I would have serious concerns about attempting to fight even a small fire without previously completing a practical, in-person training course (fire blankets are an exception as this could contain a fire before the risk escalates). This is a basic fire safety course and should cover principally the key actions to safely escape a fire: raise the alarm, get out, stay out (this was actually covered very well). Understanding fire extinguishers and the fire tetrahedron is not useful without face to face/ practical training. It's worth including it as there are situations when a small fire might block an escape route- in my previous employment I was trained that this is the ONLY time to use a fire extinguisher.
