It made me consider points such as where are the fire extinguishers? what type are they? What is the best escape route? In many other areas it was very informative such as classes of fire, the type of signs etc..

The fire training online dvd was very good and very informatative, it was very clear and easy to use.

after working offshore for over 5 years and being exposed to a variety of training packages this was very good, and made excellent use of videos shopwing how to extuingish fires - which we would normaly go to a site to experience.

Good quality but suggest extending to risks away from the normal place of work e.g. when visiting another office or when travelling on business the importance of assessing risks in a new environment should be emphasised. For example in an unfamiliar office identifying the fire exits and when staying overnight in a hotel walking the path from your room to the nearest exit so that you could find your way if the corridor were to be filled with smoke.

A bit stop and start - some of the slides only have one sentence, after which you need to click next. Personally I would prefer if I could skip through more of this without having to press next. Although the feature for going back and forward pages is handy.

Good. Not too long. Informative and not patronising. Good use of videos.

Although therer is no practical element of this fire course I do feel that it gave staff the basic knowledge to feel more confident should they be faced with a potentially dangerous situation.

This was an interesting and informative training tool. Some things were common sense, some things I already knew, but more importantly, I learnt a lot more than I thought I would! The e learning process used different techniques, which varied your thought process and skills. I also liked the visual aspects to this training; it made things a lot clearer. For example before I did this course I knew where the fire extinguisher was, but would have been very apprehensive about using it - clips, pins etc - too much to read on the side of a heavy cylinder, but the video made it clear and easy! Similarly the warning about NOT touching the funnel on the CO2 cylinder - not thinking, I may well have done that!! All in all an excellent training tool, because it can mean something to everyone, and we all want to stay safe!Thank you Caroline

I was not looking forward to doing the traing but really pleased I did as I learnt so much.
