Informative and easy to understand.

The aid of diagrams and video aided the learning process and helped reinforce betterunderstanding of the course.

I would have scored 100% but for one of your questions. It's regarding the one about how smoke spreads. I think answer A was convection and Answer C was through pressure building and forcing the smoke out of the room. Surely both these means are correct. I answered A and got it wrong! Not that I'm bitter or anything! 😉

The training refreshes my memory

I think that the programme is very easy to understand. You certainly stop and think about fire hazzards and what to do in an emergency.

I felt the programme, whilst essential, could be sold to us in a more exciting way. It was a bit drawn out and long winded. The spot the dangers exercise was perhaps a tad childish and absurd as whilst knowing why and what the dangers were and what you were trying to signal/flag and embed, things like butane canisters on tops of desks etc just seemed a bit odd and over the top.

Very well presented content.

Too much information for the average employee. Content is important, but could be shortened. eg 6 x 5 fire/extinguisher matrix is forgotten as soo as it is seen. Employees should be assured that the correct extinguisher has been provided by the employer. The video can then concentrate ONLY on the safe and generic way to use ANY extinguisher. As it stands the course is good for fire marshalls.

I personally found it very useful.

The training gave me some ideas on how to behaive when the building is on fire and now I think I know what types of fire extinguishes exist and which ones are supposed to be used for different types of fire.

Great for purpose

A cut down version of the Fire Warden training programme but still comprehensive and well structured with all necessary content for general fire awareness training.

Apart from actual hands-on fire fighting experience more appropriate to Fire Wardens, I thought this DVD was comprehensive and reasonably challenging. The content is clear with excellent videos and the questions, although for the most part would be common sense, require you to have concentrated and retained a good level of detail and understanding. The menus are easily navigated with clear indication of progress.

Found it very informative; demonstrations were very good, especially the extinguishers; plus the importance of containing the fire/smoke and how it can be done.

Work at own pace

Able to work at own pace and review info if needed. Able to choose when to do the course. Very informative and relevant.
