I really learned a lot and feel much more confident about what to do if we did have a problem.
Any self learning in an office environment is only productive if it can be carried out without any interuptions. The Fire Awareness programme is very good but the constant interuptions I have by staff/collegues/ phonecalls etc doesn't allow full concentration on the subject therefore elements are soon forgot or not fully understood. The actual programme scores a 5 but the environment is a 3.
Clear and concise
A comprehensive and well presented training programme, provided a good refresher as an annual update. The presenters spoke clearly and I like the interactive nature of the material.
I found it really helpful that you can go back and review sections before moving on.
Easy to understand and use; the training programme gave me information I was not already familiar with and confidence in my ability to deal with any incident involving fire
Not too boring and gets the message across and easy to go back if you have not quite got the message, I have ran a Petrol Staion previously and still manage to learn from this traning
I especially liked that we saw in a video how to use the different fire extinguishers, makes you more 'courageous' to actually step forward to use one in the event of a fire.
Very interesting, certainly raised awareness.
The multiple choice questions were too easy. The distractors were too obvious and some of the questions were easy to guess - for example 'What is the biggest problem for most companies? Fire, Staff Shortage etc - Fire is the obvious answer as the test is on fire hazards.....The videos also took a long time to load and the programme kept freezing. Not everyone has a fast internet connection that can handle large videos.
