Comprehensive course

The Fire Awareness training was extremely informative and relevant. I learned a lot from the course and the information will certainly help me, should I ever be involved in a fire situation and in my role as Fire Warden. I was impressed by the detailed information we provided on all aspects of fire and fire safety.

Issues with the extinguisher section

Most hospital settings these days will only have water / foam and CO2 extinguishers. [There may be exceptions where there are kitchens]. Powder is far too messy and metal fires are not usually an issue. The primary extinguishing action of CO2 is to freeze the fire [ie remove heat] rather than smother. Some of your pictures show people holding the pipes and horns of these extinguishers which could cause freezing injuries. Other than that I was reasonably impressed.

it covered all areas so is very thorough

thank you for this as I once applied to be a part-time fireman but failed due to being colour blind so I have an interest in this crucial safety course.
