Course was relevant and to the point section on fire extinguishers was very useful as I lacked knowledge about all the different types that there were.

I found the fire extinguishers very informative. I did not know to aim the fire extinguishers at different parts of the fire depending on the what class of fire it is. I always thought it was to aim at the base of all fires.

The presentation was inciteful without being too wordy. It generally covered most key areas of fire prevention and awareness. It did however feel more could have been said about keeping fire access and egress routes clear in the workplace. Showing some examples of good and bad practices.

I thought that it was important to learn practical elements such as types of fires & extinguishers, keeping close to floor level etc. I think it more important for the test to contain practical elements such as these, rather than statistics which will not be of practical use in the case of a fire (eg. how many serious fires take place in schools each year). I feel that this training should be accompanied by a direct link to the college fire policy.

I found this course engaging due to the actors involved and the way the course was structured. It encouraged you to stick with the subject matter and the odd question at key points was a good method of keeping the viewer focused.
