Useful quick overview of the key points

A simple and well presented look at equality and diversity issues in the workplace. It doesn't really go into too much detail on the topics themselves but is a useful reminder to consider your thoughts and practices.

User friendly.

Covered a wide range in a simple to understand format. The way the learning and test was structured was also user friendly. I did not make the required mark to pass however I had the opportunity to re-take the test. This gave me the opportunity to reflect on where I had gone wrong and helped the information to 'sink in'.

Too much invisibility of disability

In most of the course, people can see the disabled person and its often hidden (i.e. in this case below the camera line). Understanding of hidden disabilities is very imporrtant. However I am severely critical of this course in that the course writers have managed to hide disability away in their creation of this. Much prejudice against disabled people is based on first sight yet those completing the course aren't in a position to experience this, unlike most of the other characteristics. I'm also disappointed on coverage of positive discrimination. You should have made a clear argument why in some countries this is used, while also acknowledging its not legal in the UK. In your coverage here, you seem to have given in to the "anti PC" brigade. One more point re. the graphics. Later in the video you show infographics e.g. re. gender split in workforce in the UK. However, everyone in each gender seems to be largely homogenised. Your graphics should show diversity within groups e.g. different races, disability. I think something to consider in future as well is that people may have more than one protected characteristic e.g. gay disabled people and future training might recognise more that we are all interesting, diverse, complex people who don't fit into one of 9 neat boxes 😊

Puzzling

I enjoyed this training course for the sheer fact there is a voice commentary and videos. The questions I thought were tricky, like the questions are suppose to catch you out, I feel my score would have been much higher if the answers weren’t so closely resembling the correct answer. However definitely a better way of educating yourself.

Great

A complicated subject but an illustrative way of delivery helps to understand it and engaging friendly manner makes it a pleasure to watch/listen. The best course on this topic so far..
